    The Ceiling Mount can attach Cell Alpha to your ceiling at any angle, from totally flat to 90°, so vaulted ceilings and beams are no problem.

How does ceiling mounting improve the Cell Alpha’s spatial audio?

Ceiling mounting removes floor-level acoustic obstacles like couches, tables, and people that typically muffle high-frequency sounds. Elevating the speaker gives its three horn-loaded drivers an unobstructed, 360-degree line of sight to the room’s walls. This allows the internal calibration microphones to build a highly accurate digital map of your space, resulting in a cleaner, more immersive, and perfectly balanced three-dimensional sound field.

Can I use a single ceiling-mounted Cell Alpha, or do I need multiple?

A single ceiling-mounted Cell Alpha is highly effective. Because of its unique triphone beamforming array, a single Cell hanging in the center of a room projects sound in every direction, filling the entire space with uninterrupted spatial audio. However, you can wirelessly connect up to five Cells via the Syng Space app to expand your system, add new acoustic perspectives, and cover larger rooms.

Can the Syng Ceiling Mount be installed on vaulted or sloped ceilings?

Yes. The Syng Ceiling Mount is fully adjustable and can attach the Cell Alpha to your ceiling at any angle from 0° (completely flat) to 90°. This flexibility makes it easy to mount the speaker directly to angled, vaulted ceilings, exposed architectural beams, or flat drywall.

How does the Cell Alpha calibrate itself once it is hung from the ceiling?

The calibration is completely automated. Once the Cell Alpha is mounted and turned on, use the Syng Space app to start the setup. The speaker's three built-in microphones will analyze the room's boundary reflections and automatically adjust its Triphonic audio projection to match its new elevated position.

How long are the Syng Ceiling Mount extender tubes?

Each optional ceiling mount extender tube is exactly 12.25 inches (311.15 mm) in length. Multiple extender tubes can be combined to lower the speaker to your preferred height, which is ideal for rooms with high, lofted, or vaulted ceilings.

Can I use the poles from my table or floor stand as extender tubes? 

Yes - if the pole has external threads: 2 poles from your Floor Stand can be used as extender tubes.

How to mount Ceiling Mount:

You must mount the Ceiling Mount into ceiling joists - you must have a secure base to screw the ceiling mount into. DO NOT screw them into drywall or anything that will not guarantee
holding the weight of the Cell.
Be sure that all tubes and mounts are firmly hand tightened before use.

Other Warnings:

Do not place the Cell where you can hit it with your head.
Do not place over heat sources like fireplaces or kitchen stoves.
Do not place over your bathtub or water sources.
